Sallie Edwards is a cybersecurity engineer at the MITRE Corporation. She currently serves as a project leader at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence where she has coauthored practical cybersecurity guidance (NIST 1800 series) for multiple critical infrastructure sectors. She is adept at communicating complex cyber concepts to a variety of audiences at all levels. Sallie fell into the cybersecurity field more than 20 years ago as a security administrator. Since then, she has functioned in many capacities ranging from hands-on vulnerability testing to strategic security governance and planning for government and the private sector. She holds a master's of science degree in business continuity, security, and risk management from Boston University.
